EUGENE

New Construction and Development

OGS can provide you with the necessary site analysis and reporting to assist in obtaining your building permit. Our unique approach provides you with the necessary documentation, as well as recommendations to minimize site development costs.

Soil Inspections and Reports

Special inspections and mitigation recommendations are required for construction in areas defined as having clay soils by the City. OGS can provide this service, and develop recommendations for practical and economical site development.

Foundation Repair

The expansive soils of the Eugene area have caused distress and failure (cracking and movement) of many foundations. As mentioned above, many of the areas of clay soils have been defined, and special requirements are in place to ensure that new development in these areas is constructed appropriately. However, there are many older homes and commercial structures that are now in need of repair. OGS can provide the analysis and reporting to determine the subsurface soil and groundwater conditions, and recommendations and design criteria for foundation support and repair.

Buying and Selling Real Estate

When buying real estate, either for an individual homesite, a large parcel for subdivision, or a commercial building site, OGS can provide a pre-purchase property inspection and geologic hazards analysis to document the existing geotechnical issues, known geologic hazards, and general feasibility of construction or development.
